But what if you fly?

As professional women, careers are important to us and we are well aware that career and life are in no way separate. Indeed, at different phases of life the balance between the two can really leave us feeling torn and overwhelmed.

Do you recognise yourself here……

Have you qualified in a profession that is a ‘calling’? You couldn’t imagine doing anything else, but now, some years in, you find yourself wondering where the passion for that calling has drifted away to and you feel lost and flat?

Are you someone who has worked diligently at your career, but now you have also become a parent and find yourself trying to juggle two important roles, feeling like you aren’t doing either one ‘properly’?

Have you taken some time off your career to be home with children but now cannot see how you could possibly go back to your job the way you were working before?

Maybe you have the awareness that you have seriously fallen out of love with your original calling, but because you have put all your energy and effort into getting where you currently are, you have no idea what to do next and feel cornered.

Does the traditional career progression path for your profession now feel like a race you didn’t even want to enter?

Maybe you have realised that it’s time for a change and are currently taking the time to re-train but juggling studying and training with work and family just feels WAY TOO MUCH.

If any of these resonate with you then you are in the right place.

After my own experiences in these areas, I trained as a personal performance life coach as well as in interpreting DISC personality profiles. I am also a trained first aider in mental health because when we struggle with these huge areas of our life, our mental health can also suffer.

I have personal experience with;

-        Having significant doubts about a profession I thought I had always wanted

-        Full time studying/research

-        Writing up a PhD thesis with a newborn

-        Being home with children full time

-        Returning to a profession after years away from the world of work

-        Changing fields within my chosen profession (clinical, research, first opinion, out of hours)

-        Retraining alongside work and parenting

-        Launching my own business as a side hustle

I am a career coach for professional women and I bring my coaching qualifications, my training in delivering personality profiles, insights from previous coaching clients as well as my own lived experience to help you find your way to a place where life and career are not two opposing sides of a battle.

When you work with me, we dig in to find out what you truly want – because how can you plan your journey if you don’t know what your destination is? We learn about your personality traits that help you communicate more effectively at home and work, to increase the feeling of ease. We make clear plans of action which empower you to get where you want to be.

You are very welcome here. I plan to share regular insights and tips on how to make life just a little easier. There will be testimonials and stories from clients, workplace communication tips and other things that interest me.

Thank you for being here, please share this with anyone you know who will benefit -

let’s create a community for thriving professional women.

If you already know you would like to work with me, or have any questions about how coaching works, email me on sarahgarvencoaching@gmail.com. I am excited to see what we could create together.

Until next time, what is one thing you could do this week to make life a little easier for yourself?

Sarah x
